I am a little late on getting this new posting out online. I will try to do better
It is terribly and bitterly cold here the last few days. It was only 1 (one) degree above zero today.
I got up and got dressed and went to church then came home and got back into my jammies. Sitting in my favorite chair and been paying bills. Here are my poems I wrote for January. I hope you enjoy them. That is if anyone is reading them ....:)
New Year's Resolutions by Patrice Vicory
A New Year is coming, so full of promise
It's fresh and clean and new
Let's fill it up with prayers, now answered
And dreams that have come true
The Old Lamplighter has lit the lamp
The gently lights my way
My step is sure, the journey safe
Until the light of day
So enter in, the New Year beckons
Come dance at New Year's Balls
Let's sing the song of friends remembered
Until the snowflakes fall
Bundle up in your overcoat
You mustn't catch a chill
There's many days awaiting you
And resolutions to be filled
Happiness is a Snowflake by Patrice Vicory
See the little snowflake
As it dances all around
Swirling through the crisp, cold air
Before it ever touches ground
It has donned it's sparkling winter coat
As it blankets all the hills
It makes a winter wonderland
Outside the windowsills
The children bundle up all warm
As they go outside to play
They seek snow angels hiding
And bid them all "please stay"
It sparkles like the diamonds
When the moon comes shining down
What fun to make a snowman
So nice and fat and round
Let's not forget the sledding
Over white and bumpy hill
And the laughter shared with friends
As we take a snowy spill
Some think the falling snow
Is just trouble and a trial
Yet there is still some of us
It brings on quite a smile

Hoping you are all having a Happy Christmas Eve and to those who are traveling to see loved ones be safe. Here are a couple of poems I wrote a few years back for Christmas and I would like to share them with you...God Bless and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
The Greatest Gift by Patrice Vicory
The Greatest Gift
I received a priceless gift
But it was not beneath a tree
It was hung upon a wooden cross
For all the world to see
Not tied with bows and paper
Yet what an awesome sight
That God did love me Oh so much
For He sent down His Light
With peace on earth, goodwill to men
What greater gift to give?
God's only Son did die for me
That I could truly live
May I remember to share His Love
Throughout this joyous season
And never lose sight of the fact
That Jesus is the reason
The gifts of God keep coming
Throughout the entire year
With friends to share the laughter
And peace instead of fear
So is it any wonder
I sing His praise each day
For Jesus is the answer
The Truth, the Light, the Way
The First Christmas by Patrice Vicory
The First Christmas
A long time ago
In a manger did lay
A most precious baby
The first Christmas Day
As father did watch
And mother did keep
Her eyes on that baby
Just watching Him sleep
With eyes filled with wonder
At this miraculous sight
A babe born in Bethleham
This long ago night
The shepherds did come
As they followed the star
Three kings did bring presents
They traveled afar
They've shared the glad tidings
To tell of His birth
The day Jesus left Heaven
And came to the earth
